TAS Plan Review includes the formal review of construction documents and submittal to AB as required by Article 9102, TCS. The typical turnaround time for a plan review is 5-7 business days from the date the submittal is received by our office. The plan review worksheet and compliance letter are sent to the Designer via e-mail. In an effort to keep our clients in compliance with AB, the submittal documents, including plans and registration forms, are always reviewed to ensure compliance with AB submittal deadlines and requirements. The fee for the TAS Plan Review is based upon current TDLR fees plus the required ICP filing fee. Please see the Fee Schedule.
TAS Site Inspection Revision Consulting includes discussion of items noted on the Inspection Worksheet, discussion and explanation of TAS requirements and current AB Interpretations, discussion of possible design options to provide compliance with TAS, review of all re-submittals and revision of the Inspection Worksheet to reflect information contained in the re-submittals. Site Inspection Notification includes a written notice sent to the designer as a reminder that the TAS Site Inspection will be required for the project. Two Inspection Notification are typically sent to the designer at 8 weeks and at 4 weeks prior to the scheduled project completion date as noted on the TDLR Project Registration From. There is no charge for the notification.
Preliminary Review includes design review and either written or verbal discussion of findings. The documents reviewed may be either full size drawing sheets or faxed documents. Typically, we do not charge for the Preliminary Review unless written comments are requested.
 
Variance Submittal Consulting includes review of existing issues and design criteria, formulation of potential compliance options, discussion of AB Variance Procedures and specific Variance Submittal recommendations for the current project. If desired, we can also review draft Variance Submittal documents and offer recommendations for content. There is no charge for Variance Submittal Consulting.
 
Plan Revision Consulting includes discussion of items noted on the Review Worksheet, discussion and explanation of TAS requirements and current AB Interpretations, discussion of possible design options to provide compliance with TAS, review of all re-submittals and revision of the Plan Review Worksheet to reflect information contained in the re-submittals. There is no charge for Plan Revision Consulting, except where architectural plans are re-submitted with no supporting documentation.
 
If desired, we can also schedule an on-site TAS seminar for your firm. There is no standard format for the seminar; rather, each seminar is tailored to the specific needs of the firm. TAS Seminar’s may be general in nature covering many different aspects of the regulations or they can focus on the requirements of a specific building type. Fees are negotiated but are typically based upon seminar length.
